High‑speed CNC drilling and profiling for steel beams and plates, up to 1000 × 1000 mm and 18 m long, delivering millimetre accuracy
At Amediate Engineering, our CNC Beamline Drilling capability delivers precision, speed, and repeatability for structural steel processing. Designed to optimise productivity on large-scale fabrication projects, our beamline enables accurate drilling, profiling, and notching of universal beams, columns, channels, and angle sections.
Our CNC beamline system automates the process of drilling, milling, and countersinking holes up to 40mm in diameter. Using programmable logic and real-time monitoring, each pass is consistent and traceable, reducing manual labour and material waste. Digital layout files (DSTV, DXF, or STEP) are imported directly to guide tooling paths and avoid human error.
Beyond standard drilling, our system supports intricate notching, slotting, and end-prep operations for connection interfaces and fit-up precision. This is particularly valuable in multi-part assemblies and when integrating with complex site installations. Our machine tolerances and in-line measuring systems ensure every hole is in the right place, the first time.
Every job integrates with our internal job tracking and QA system. Steel is barcoded at intake, matched to project files, and scanned at every production stage. This allows full traceability from raw stock through to final assembly, and integrates with our welding and coating workflows.
